Join us to visit a hidden historic gem within the Tongariro Forest, built over 90 years ago, this hut is one of the last examples of bushman huts still standing in NZ.
In an area rife with timer milling and rail history, bring your lunch along and join us to see a typically hard to reach category 1 heritage building. Built in 1930s it is the last remaining example of kaikawaka slab bush huts in the country.

Please note: the trip leader reserves the right to refuse anyone who is insufficiently equipped.
Adverse weather may result in cancellation/postponement. Admin and booking fee is non-refundable in the event of cancellation.
If you cancel your trip before 48 hours of the trip date, a refund will be provided (excluding the $6 booking fee). For cancellations within 48 hours of the trip, no refunds are applicable.
