Enjoy a guided tour around the unique Wairakei Golf & Sanctuary and the Crombie Lockwood Kiwi Burrow, with Kiwis for Kiwi, Greening Taupo and the Department of Conservation.
This is a very special opportunity to learn about how local partners are working together as kaitiaki for some of our most precious flora and fauna.
Trip Length: Approx 2.5 Hours
Minimum Age: 10 Years (Kids must be accompanied by an adult)

Meeting Place: Wairakei Golf & Sanctuary Pro Shop
Transport: Own to Golf Course then golf carts. 2 per cart only.

Will be canceled if the forecast for poor weather. Other criteria for canceling include Covid alert level increase.
Participants are asked to bring the following:
Water & windproof & warm clothing - Golf Course Dress Code
Water
Sturdy tramping or walking shoes
Sunglasses / sunscreen / sunhat
Personal first aid kit
Personal medication
Camera (optional)
Please note: Wairakei Golf + Sanctuary reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone who has not adhered to the Dress Code and the Trip Leader reserves the right to refuse anyone who is insufficiently equipped.
