Special supporter Shawn Vennell from Quality Print!

We just want to take the time to recognise a very special supporter of Project Tongariro and our Taupō based projects - Greening Taupō and Kids Greening Taupō.  If you don't know Shawn locally, you might know his successful business Quality Print.  Anything to do with printing, they can usually do.  And they're incredibly generous.  Not only does Shawn support us via his business, he also puts a lot of personal time, energy and effort into various passion projects he has on the go - especially along Wairakei Drive, the northern entrance to Taupō. And more recently, a 4.6ha area of land directly in front of Wairakei Village.  This particular project threw up some big challenges recently, but due to Shawn's impressive connections and respect amongst Taupō's wider community of business, these challenges were easily surmounted.  Shawn doesn't seem to have an 'off button' and he tells me that undertaking restoration work - and especially planting, is his way of relaxing. This photo of Shawn was taken 10 years ago today (the same day as writing)!  He's certainly held his end of the bargain - and here's to another 10 years of 'relaxing' together Shawn!  A heartfelt thanks from us and your community - to your team and your family!
