Spending a relaxing Saturday in the Ruapehu? Why not pop into the Waimarino (Ohakune) Reuse Shop @ the Waimarino Transfer Station with your tamariki and take the opportunity learn more about how you as a whānau can help save money through repurposing every day rubbish and reducing your environmental footprint.

The reduce, reuse and recycle kaupapa is our new normal and a perfect way to pro-actively continue to help protect our stunning natural environments. Project Tongariro in collaboration with Ethical Waste are hosting this free, pop-up event where you can not only continue to support the region’s Ruapehu Zero Waste 2040 kaupapa through repurposing ‘rubbish’, the first 50 manuhiri also have an opportunity to add your own personal design to a BPA-free Keep Cup which is free to take away.

Minimum Age: All ages (0-15 years with adult supervision)
