Everyone is invited to come along to the Pukawa Reserve for a fun hands-on workshop where you'll learn how to build a rat trap tunnel. Come meet the Pukawa Trapping Team.
The workshop will include all materials, a rat trap and instructions on setting your trap safely for $25. You can take the trap and the box home and put in your backyard to help native birds thrive.
Trapping in your backyard has loads of benefits. But most importantly, getting rid of rats makes your garden a safe place for our unique native wildlife to live and feed.
Duration: 2 hours
Minimum Age: All ages (0-12 years with adult supervision)
Location: Pukawa Reserve, follow the Predator Free Taupō signs
Cost: $25 per trap (not participant) please take cash on the day, no booking required.
