Alluring Alpine
If our local mountains inspire you, sign up for this watercolour workshop to go on an exploration of the local mountains on paper. We will focus on some of the incredible volcanic features of the Tongariro National Park environment, each one a natural taonga. Follow a painting sequence to create an impression of alpine mountain grandeur, along with a closer look at the many unique alpine plants that grow on the seemingly barren volcanic slopes and the dramatic cloud effects that dramatic mountains create!
This workshop is being offered as an artistic way for community members to connect to their local environment and learn about the unique native species of Aotearoa. They are low cost with all materials and expert guidance from local artist Sue Graham provided, thanks to the support of Taupō District Council Creative Communities Scheme.
Suitable for ages 8 years and up.
Duration: 2.5 hours
Minimum Age: 8 years
Max Participants: 12 per session

Cost: $16.00 (includes $6.00 booking fee)
Participants are asked to bring a closed water bottle.
